Freedom Keys

Since I'm home all week this week, I've decided that I'm going to run everyday in the hopes of getting into summer time shape. This morning I started out all happy, blasting the Talking Heads and jogging away down the road. Truth be told, I'm not in the best shape of my life so I did a little jog-n-walk, and was feeling great by the time I'd circled the park and found myself back on my block.

That is until I felt my back pocket and noticed it was significantly lighter than when I started out. Missing were my house keys. Granted, I was wearing 10 year old pants that are paper thin, but my zippered back pocket has always been trusty. My keys must have been too much for the ol' Puma nylon. The keys made a hole back there through which they fell to freedom.

I retraced all my steps--a nice bonus walk--but my keys were nowhere to be found. Lucky for me our maintenence guy was around and let me in so I wasn't stuck out on the street. And that's the end of my Monday story.

Oh, I feel so powerless when something like that happens. I'm glad it all worked out, B. Thanks for the workout juice, too--I need some motivation these days.
